Security forces on Friday discovered an old hideout during a cordon and search operation in the forest area of Nowgam Shahabad, under Dooru in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
The Army’s 19 Rashtriya Rifles said the hideout was traced with the help of digging tools used during the search. Officials mentioned that the shelter seemed abandoned, and nothing suspicious or illegal was found there.
They added that further checks are being carried out to identify when the hideout was last used and whether it held any recent importance. The search operation in the area continued throughout the day as more inspections were conducted.
