Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday handed over appointment letters to 41 family members of terrorism victims in Jammu, along with letters for 22 beneficiaries in age-relaxation cases and 19 wards of J&K Police martyrs under SRO-43 and the Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme (RAS)
.Sinha paid homage to the civilian martyrs and expressed solidarity with the affected families, stating that victims of terrorism had long been denied justice and left to suffer in silence. Sharing stories of families who waited nearly two decades for relief, he recounted the cases of Naseeb Singh from Rajouri, Akhtar Hussain from Reasi, and SPO Sanjeet Kumar from Kishtwar—each of whose families endured years of hardship after losing loved ones to terrorism. Sinha said the new appointments mark a fresh beginning for these families.
He reiterated the administration’s resolve to dismantle the terror ecosystem, warning that those spreading separatism or misinformation will face strict legal action.
