Srinagar, Dec 17 : A leopard attacked and killed a 5-year-old girl in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.
Official sources told GNS that the victim was the daughter of Riyaz Ahmad Paswal, a resident of Khiram Gujjar Basti, Galan, Bijbhera Anantnag.
The attack took place near the village in the evening. Following the incident, local authorities and wildlife officials rushed to the spot and have launched a manhunt for the leopard, they said.Residents of the area expressed deep grief over the tragic loss and urged the administration to implement stricter measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
