Leh Jan 13: Four young men from Agra district in Uttar Pradesh have gone missing after being last seen near Pangong Lake in Ladakh, prompting police to issue missing person notices and launch a search operation.
According to notices issued by local police, the men were last seen on January 9, 2026, in the Pangong Lake area, a popular but remote tourist destination that experiences extreme weather conditions during winter.
The missing individuals have been identified as Jaiveer Chaudhary, 27, Shudanshu Faujdar, 25, Yash Mittal, 25 and Shivam Chaudhary, 25.
Police said all four men were part of the same group and had travelled together. They were last seen in the Pangong Lake region, after which contact was lost.
Pangong Lake, located at an altitude of over 14,000 feet, is known for harsh terrain and sub-zero temperatures during January, often making search and rescue operations challenging.
