At least four members of a family lost their lives in a tragic road accident in the Dada Sarthal area of Kishtwar district on Saturday.
Officials told GNS that a Chevrolet vehicle (registration number DL5CE-5634) skidded off the road while on its way to Drabshalla.
Three family members died on the spot, while the fourth, who was critically injured, was shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased have been identified as Ranjeet Singh (35), son of Late Poran Chand; Simran Thakur (21), daughter of Om Prakash; Ashu, a 6-month-old daughter of Ranjeet Singh; and Jyoti Devi (30), wife of Ranjeet Singh. All were residents of Mangal Thata, Dessa.Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further proceedings.
