Operation Sindoor Was Only an 88-Hour ‘Trailer’, Says Army Chief
Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi on Monday described Operation Sindoor as an “88-hour trailer,” asserting that the Indian Army is fully prepared for any future provocation from Pakistan. Speaking at the curtain raiser of the Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2025, he said the main “movie” never began, but the forces remain ready for all contingencies.
“If someone in Pakistan gives us such an opportunity again, we will certainly teach them how a responsible nation should behave,” he warned.
General Dwivedi also stressed that credible deterrence rests on both military capability and political resolve. India’s military power, he said, is growing steadily, strengthening its ability to respond decisively when required.
