The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday announced the arrest of another key accused in last month’s Delhi blast case.
In an official statement, the agency said that Dr. Bilal Naseer Malla, a resident of Baramulla, has become the eighth person arrested in connection with case RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI.
He was taken into custody by an NIA team in Delhi.
According to the investigation agency, Malla was involved in the wider conspiracy behind the terrorist attack in the Red Fort area that claimed 11 lives and left several others injured.
The NIA said he had knowingly sheltered the deceased accused Umar Un Nabi, providing him logistical support, and is also accused of destroying evidence linked to the attack.
The NIA added that its investigation into the network behind the deadly blast is ongoing.
The agency is coordinating with several central and state bodies to fully uncover all angles of the conspiracy.
