January Kulgam 20 :In a continued crackdown against rash and stunt driving, the Special Enforcement Team of Traffic Rural Kashmir on Tuesday intercepted another chronic stunt biker in Kulgam district.
The action was carried out under the supervision of Shri Ravinder Pal Singh, SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir, along with DySP Traffic Qazigund–Kulgam. The stunt biker was identified as Shawer Ahmad Lone, a resident of Hariwarh, Kulgam. The motorcycle used for performing dangerous stunts was seized under relevant provisions of law.
Officials said that a counselling session was also held, during which the biker was educated about the serious consequences of stunt driving and the negative impact such activities have on students and youth, particularly when stunt videos are shared on social networking platforms.To eliminate rash, negligent and stunt driving, SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir has already issued special directions to field officers to enforce traffic laws strictly. Meanwhile, motorists have once again been advised to refrain from handing over vehicles to minors, stunt drivers, or persons without a valid driving licence in order to prevent road accidents and loss of life.
