Kulgam, Jan 9 In a bid to bridge the gap between police and the public, Kulgam Police on Friday facilitated a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at Kilam area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
As per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, The meeting held on the directions from SSP Kulgam, Anayat Ali Choudhary (IPS) and was chaired by Additional Superintendent of Police (Highway) Qazigund, Mumtaz Ali Bhatti. SDPO Qazigund Mansoor Ayaz and SHO Devsar Masood-ul-Hassan were also present on the occasion. The interaction was attended by prominent citizens, youth, Auqaf Committee members, chowkidars, numberdars and other respected members of society.
While addressing the gathering, Addl. SP Highway Mumtaz Ali Bhatti said that the police are always available to serve the people.
“Our offices are open around the clock to provide solutions to any challenges faced by the public. We encourage everyone to come forward with their concerns, as we are fully committed to addressing them promptly and fairly,” he said.
He emphasized that people should feel confident in reaching out to the police for assistance, assuring them that their issues would be treated with utmost priority.
“Our aim is to build stronger ties with the community and ensure the smooth functioning of local governance,” he added.
The officer also stressed the need for public cooperation in maintaining law and order and urged locals to help the police in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements attempting to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the area.
SDPO Qazigund Mansoor Ayaz also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of community participation in policing and maintaining harmony in society.
Participants appreciated the police for organizing such interaction meetings and hailed the move as constructive. They assured full support and cooperation to the police in curbing social evils and strengthening peace and order in the region.
