A 19-year-old girl from Pulwama was critically injured on Friday after she reportedly fell from a moving train in the Budgam area. The injured girl, identified as Insha, daughter of Abdul Rashid Bhat from Khalan Pulwama, was immediately rushed to District Hospital Budgam by locals and railway personnel who witnessed the incident.
Due to the severity of her injuries, she was later referred to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Hospital sources said she had suffered multiple injuries and required urgent medical attention.
Family members accompanying Insha told reporters that she became unconscious moments after falling from the train, leaving them deeply worried about her condition.
Doctors at SMHS confirmed that she remains in critical condition and is currently undergoing intensive treatment. They added that her prognosis will depend on how she responds in the coming hours.
