Srinagar, Dec 04: The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a case and arrested a Patwari and a Chowkidar from the revenue department for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe from a citizen seeking correction of his name in revenue records.
The ACB stated that FIR No. 03/2025 under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and Section 61(2) of the BNS, 2023 was filed against Ganderab Singh, Patwari of Patwar Halqa Thalora in Majalta Tehsil, Udhampur, and Kuldeep Kumar, Chowkidar.
