Srinagar 15 Nov2025: Nowgam Police Station Blast: 9 Killed in Accidental Explosion a tragic blast late Friday night at around 11:20 pm at the Nowgam Police Station in Srinagar killed nine people. Officials said the explosion occurred while a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was examining ammonium nitrate and other explosive materials that had been recovered earlier from Dr. Muzamil’s residence during investigations linked to a terror module.Jammu and Kashmir DGP Nalin Prabhat described the incident as an accidental explosion, urging people not to speculate as the probe continues. The blast caused severe damage to the police station and nearby buildings.Those killed included members of the FSL team, a State Investigation Agency official, two crime-scene photographers, two revenue officials, and a tailor assisting the team.The explosives being tested were connected to the recent Faridabad terror module case, which also has links to the Red Fort car blast in Delhi earlier this month.Security at the blast site has been tightened, and a high-level investigation is underway.
